The history of the Association
The Association of Chinese Medical Societies for Chinese doctors in Switzerland was founded on 16th November 2008. The members of this Association are all Chinese doctors who practice Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The Association is based at Wydenhofweg 6 in 6010 Kriens.
Aims and functions
a) A family: We aim to keep Chinese doctors together like a family, and to help each other.
b) A platform: We showcase high quality Chinese Medicine.
c) A bridge: We aim to integrate well into society in Switzerland .
Competencies
Every member holds a university degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. We have accumulated many years of clinical experience and have excellent specialists. Each one of us has mastered at least one of the country's languages and is resident in Switzerland, or may even be a citizen of this country. We are familiar with the Swiss framework conditions in the health sector and we adhere strictly to them. We are also well aware of the Swiss mindset.

We maintain close relationships with the following organisations:
- World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS)
- World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion society
- China Association of Chinese Medicine
These days, we are also able to count upon the Canadian, English, Belgian and Dutch TCM Associations among our trusted partners.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
TCM is an alternative medicine that is part of the Chinese cultural heritage. It is a method of healing and a philosophical way of thinking. It requires specific intellectual powers and many years of clinical experience. It is not just a type of treatment.
